You are absolutely right, I agree with you that these sites fall into the hate category of our blocked sites. Any site that encourages hateful attitudes toward any particular group of people (of a religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, political party, etc) is a hate site and is therefore inappropriate for viewing by children ages 3-17. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. Again, thank you very much for your help in seeking out these sites! Warmly, Amanda Geyer Marketing Coordinator PS - Please include all previous correspondence in reply. So I didn't feel ignored :) I did write to Net Nanny a second time and nominate another site for blocking in your hate category; maybe you got mixed up and meant to respond to that message instead? The site I suggested was: http://www.geocities.com/terence_mason/ which says things like "gay rights interfere with sound moral principles" and compares being gay to "bestiality, necrophilia and pedophilia". I was hoping you would have a chance to review it and let me know if you decide to block it. I have also found two other sites that I was wondering if you would consider appropriate for your list under the "hate site" category: http://www.angelfire.com/mt/firstjohn1976/ "GayFacts" -- starts by saying that being gay is "unhealthy, immoral and destructive to individuals, families and societies" and goes downhill from there... and this page: http://members.theglobe.com/plexicraft/ "Rights. RIGHTS! RIGHTS? For sexual deviant . . . sexual behavior there are now rights. That's what I'm worried about with the pedophilia and the bestiality..." yada yada yada... you get the idea :-) If you have time to respond, please let me know if you decide to block these sites as well; I know I wouldn't want impressionable children looking at them (certainly the sites seem to have the potential to do more harm than a picture of a nipple) but the list decisions are your call :) -John >From: Amanda Geyer >To: 'John Ventura' >Subject: RE: hate site to block >Date: Thu, 13 Apr 2000 08:32:22 -0700 > >Hello John! > >I have checked this site and I guarantee it's going on our blocked list! >Thank you for taking the time to write to us and submit this site.
