DansGuardian is an Internet filtering program used in American schools and libraries. It is more of a low-end product than more popular programs like WebSense; for example, DansGuardian can only be installed on Linux servers, while most major commercial Internet filters can be installed on both Linux or Windows. "Dan" of DansGuardian is Daniel Barron, who wrote the original program.

The most reliable way to bypass DansGuardian is to sign up for a proxy mailing list like our Circumventor mailing list, where we mail out new websites several times per week to help people get around DansGuardian and other blocking programs. That way, if one of the Circumventor sites does get blocked, a new site will be e-mailed to you the next day.
